Check Clark County Inmate Records

Clark County inmate records start with the local jail, but the county does not publish an official online jail roster in the inspected official sources. A Clark County jail roster search therefore works best as a custody-check process: confirm local jail status first, then use state, court, federal, or notification tools when the person has moved out of county custody. People trying to look up Clark County inmates should treat the county jail, Arkansas DOC, VINE, federal BOP, ICE, and court records as separate systems that answer different parts of the same arrest and custody question.

Clark County Jail Roster Status

No official online Clark County jail roster was located on the county or sheriff pages reviewed. The Clark County Sheriff page identifies Sheriff Jason Watson, gives the sheriff and jail contact point, and states that the sheriff has custody of the county jail, but it does not provide a searchable inmate list. The Arkansas Sheriffs' Association Clark County directory adds jail capacity, hold type, and jail administrator information. It is a directory, not a roster.

For current Clark County inmate records, start with the Clark County Jail by phone or in person. Ask whether the person is in custody, whether bond has been set, whether a release has occurred, and whether any hold is listed. If the person has been sentenced or transferred, the county jail may no longer be the right place to search. Arkansas DOC uses a separate statewide locator for sentenced state custody. Federal custody and immigration detention use separate federal systems.

Before relying on a third-party inmate search site, check whether it links back to an official Clark County or Arkansas source. Commercial pages were found in search results, but they are not the official Clark County jail record source and should not be used as proof of custody.

Use Clark County Inmate Search Channels

Because no official Clark County online roster was found, the search process is a fallback chain. The first channel is the jail. The second channel is Arkansas DOC if the person may be in state custody. VINE is useful for notifications. Search ARCourts helps after charges are filed, but it is a court case system rather than a jail population list.

  1. Call Clark County Jail at (870) 246-2222 and give the person's full legal name, date of birth if known, approximate arrest date, and arresting agency.
  2. Ask whether the person is currently held at Clark County Jail, released, transferred, or listed with a state, federal, ICE, or other-agency hold.
  3. If staff cannot provide all booking details by phone, ask how to make a public-records request to the sheriff as custodian of jail records.
  4. Search Arkansas DOC Inmate Search when the person may be sentenced, transferred, or on a Clark County waiting-list or backup status.
  5. Use Arkansas VINE for custody and court notifications, and use Search ARCourts for filed charges and court events.

Important: Clark County Jail custody, Arkansas DOC custody, BOP custody, and ICE custody are different systems. A person missing from one system may still appear in another.

Clark County Roster Search Fields

Clark County did not publish a local roster search-field form in the official sources reviewed. For that reason, there is no official county table for last name, booking number, housing unit, or release status. The available search-field table comes from the Arkansas DOC locator. It should be used only for state correctional custody, not as a live Clark County booking roster.

Field LabelTypeRequiredNotes
ADC NumberTextNoDirect search for a known state inmate number.
CountyDropdownNoIncludes Clark, but this is still a DOC state-custody filter.
Last Name / First NameTextNoUse name fields when the DOC number is not known.
FacilityDropdownNoIncludes DOC units and county waiting-list options, including Clark County Waiting List.
Gender, Offense Category, Age, RaceFiltersNoHelpful for narrowing common names in state custody.
Disclaimer CheckboxCheckboxYesThe DOC form requires the user to accept the disclaimer before search.

The Arkansas DOC inmate-services page also links to mail, money, commissary, handbook, victim services, and related state prison services. Those tools apply to DOC inmates, not to every new Clark County Jail booking.

The DOC inmate-search screen is shown on the Arkansas DOC locator.

Use that form after a Clark County arrest only when the person may have moved into state custody or appears under a DOC waiting-list status.

Clark County Inmate Record Fields

No official Clark County public inmate profile was located, so the page should not claim that Clark County displays mugshots, bond amounts, housing, charges, or release dates online. Those details may exist in jail booking records, court records, or agency files, but the release path depends on the custodian and any exemption. A caller should ask for custody status first, then ask what record can be inspected or copied.

FieldWhat It Shows
Custody StatusWhether the person is currently held, released, transferred, or subject to another hold, if staff can confirm it.
Booking DateThe intake date or time may be part of the booking record, but no online Clark County display was found.
Charges or Warrant BasisInitial arrest allegations may differ from the charges later filed in court.
Bond or HoldBond may be set by a court; another warrant, DOC hold, federal hold, or ICE detainer may affect release.
Booking PhotoA photo may be part of a booking record, but no official Clark County mugshot gallery was found.
Court Case NumberAfter charges are filed, Search ARCourts and the Circuit Clerk become better sources for case tracking.

Booking is the jail intake process after arrest. A charge is an alleged offense, while a disposition is the court outcome, such as guilty, dismissed, amended, or nolle prosequi. A detainer is a request from another agency to hold or notify before release. These terms matter because a person may be in Clark County Jail on one local charge but also have a state, federal, probation, parole, or immigration issue.

Clark County Custody vs DOC

The Clark County Jail is the local detention point for recent arrests, pretrial custody, local holds, and short local jail matters. The Arkansas Department of Corrections is the statewide correctional system for sentenced state inmates and some state statuses. Federal BOP and ICE do not use the Clark County jail roster as their public locator.

Search ARCourts is a different kind of tool. The Arkansas Judiciary Search ARCourts explainer says public case information can include parties, judge, filings, charges and dispositions, future events, and judgments. For court status after an arrest, see Clark County court records after a jail arrest.

Clark County Jail Facility

Only one active detention facility was placed in the Clark County facility map from official-source research: Clark County Jail. No separate official county work-release annex, regional jail, state prison, BOP facility, or ICE detention center was identified inside Clark County. Arkadelphia Police is a municipal police agency, not a separate public long-term jail roster source in the research.

The Arkansas Sheriffs' Association lists the jail capacity as 50 and lists the hold type as males only. Verify female arrestee handling, transfer practice, and any temporary housing issue directly with jail staff before drawing a conclusion from the directory entry.

Clark County Booking Process

Clark County does not publish a detailed jail intake checklist in the inspected official sources. The local path is still clear enough for records use. A person may be arrested by the sheriff, Arkadelphia Police, or another agency, then taken to the local jail or another law-enforcement facility for intake. The sheriff page says deputies make arrests on warrants issued by the courts and execute court process.

During booking, a jail record may include identity details, arrest date, arresting agency, initial charges or warrant basis, bond or hold status, release status if released, and a booking photo if the agency creates and releases one. The booking record is not the same as a court record. After the prosecutor files charges, the court case is tracked through Search ARCourts and the Clark County Circuit Clerk, whose page says the clerk maintains circuit-court files, dockets, warrants, judgments, pending cases, past cases, and dispositions.

Note: Clark County has not published an online timing rule for when a new booking appears because no official online roster was found.

Clark County Jail Visits

Clark County did not publish an official jail visitation schedule, mail rules, commissary vendor, inmate-money process, or phone/video provider in the official sources reviewed. Treat those items as call-ahead questions. Do not use Clark County, Indiana jail pages for this Arkansas jail, even when search results look similar.

State prison rules are different. Arkansas DOC visitation uses its own appointment and entry process, including search and contraband rules on the DOC visitation page. Those rules should not be presented as Clark County Jail rules unless the jail confirms the same policy.

Clark County Jail Records Requests

Arkansas FOIA generally allows inspection and copying of public records unless an exemption applies. For Clark County jail records, the practical custodian is the Clark County Sheriff's Office or Clark County Jail. A useful written request should name the person, include date of birth if known, give an approximate arrest or booking date, identify the arresting agency if known, and ask for a specific record, such as booking sheet, jail booking record, custody log entry, or booking photo.

Some jail and court information may be withheld or redacted. Investigation-sensitive records, juvenile records, sealed records, medical information, security details, and non-public court information may not be available. Arkansas Judiciary notes that some court case information is not public online under Administrative Order 19. The Clark County Circuit Clerk states juvenile records are confidential.

Note: No Clark County sheriff FOIA form, sheriff records fee table, or jail-records turnaround time was located in the official county pages reviewed.

Clark County Inmate App Status

No official Clark County Sheriff's Office Arkansas mobile app was located in the inspected results. No official Arkadelphia Police app with a jail roster, warrant search, most-wanted list, records portal, or mugshot feature was found either. The Arkansas Sheriffs' Association may advertise its own association app, but that is not a Clark County sheriff app for local inmate records.

For Clark County inmate records, use the jail phone, in-person sheriff counter, public-records request route, DOC locator, VINE, Search ARCourts, BOP, or ICE as the facts require. A local app is not part of the verified Clark County access chain.
